These lovely images were shot on Kodak Portra 400 film and Fuji Acros 100 BW. We thought it would be fun to post an exclusively film post to show our love for the art. These frames were shot on a Mamiya 645AF with the 80mm F1.9 lens. Developed and scanned by The Find Lab.
Hi, hello, and good day! We thought we'd take a moment to introduce ourselves. Some of you already know us, some of you have heard of us, and others may be new to the scene. So, we thought it would be nice to say hello, and give everyone a little introduction to who we are and what we are all about. Below is Our Story. It was written by one of our siblings, and sums us up pretty well!
~
Sara and Logan are a brother + sister photography team who have decided to band together to become Athens’ most formidable wedding duo. Before merging their businesses, Sara and Logan worked together on weddings for 5 or 6 years, helping each other shoot. Between them, they share over 20 years of experience with wedding photography. They’ve photographed over 300 weddings, either together or with other photographers. Both Logan & Sara have families –three kiddos each! – which has trained them in the art of multitasking, a skill highly valued in the world of weddings.
When you hire Sara + Logan, you are signing up for a pair of photographers that are passionate about two things (plus many more): using photography to document your wedding in the most beautiful way possible, and working to make your wedding stress-free. Both Logan and Sara share a similar photography style, but they each bring a slightly different set of skills to the table that provide for well-rounded coverage of your day.
Growing up, the siblings' were unschooled and part of a large family of seven. As the first and second children in the family, Sara and Logan didn't always see eye-to-eye. Sara was always independent and in-charge, while Logan was always a more emotional and physical type. They grew up in a 'whole-foods' environment and learned young, the value in family, food, and camaraderie. As they entered their teenage years, they grew apart and conquered their own dreams until they reunited in their 20's. It took a town, owning businesses, and babies, to help them reconnect . They quickly found that they shared SO many likes/dislikes. They also found out they worked very well together as a team.
After Logan and his wife sold their coffee shop, Logan began to get involved with photography; tinkering with Sara's expensive equipment, helping with business advice, and tagging along to shoots. Sara took him under her wing and taught him the basics of photography and beyond. Now, many years and several cameras later, Sara and Logan have a blast working together, pushing each other to be better, challenging each other to seek out new goals and aspirations, and keeping each other in check (Sara has Hangry Eyes when hungry, and Logan likes to make silly comments about an infinite number of topics). Below are some pictures of Sara and Logan growing up. Mostly from the early days, and mostly naked or in some pretty awesome 80's attire.
