We encourage a First Look for many reasons. Many of our reasons have a lot to do with timing and photography and lighting, but the number one reason that we encouage couples to have a First Look, is for the you, the couple.
Reason #1: Quality Time During a Busy Wedding Day
You, the bride or groom, get to spend some quality time together. That's it, my #1 reason. Yes, when you opt for a First Look, you are 'breaking tradition' and seeing each other before the ceremony, but you are also opting to take a moment during a very busy, very distracting day, and spend some quality on-on-one time with each other. Imagine this; you're standing at the most comfortable, most beautiful location at your venue (church, house, getting-ready location), all dressed and ready. As you stand there, nervous, your love walks up to you; asks you to turn around and right then you are no longer nervous. You hug, kiss, admire, and TALK! For as long as you'd like! And while you hug, kiss, admire and talk, Logan and I get to take honest photos of you unhindered by the ceremony.
Reason #2: Fun Photos!
After your First Look, we start the fun! I like to allow an hour for photos of our wedding couple. During that hour, we encourage cuddling, laughing and dancing. We will explore your venue and make the most of every pretty spot your venue has to offer.
Reason #3: Start Your Party Sooner!
By choosing a First Look, you can also get family and wedding party photos finished prior to the ceremony. After you say your I Do's you can head straight to the party!
Whether you have 1 bridesmaid or 12, we're here to capture the connection you share while having a little fun!
Some advice on the do's and don't's of wedding day hair.
*Schedule a trial run. Most likely your stylist will include a trial run in the cost of her wedding day price. Schedule your trial run a couple of months before your wedding day.
*Be honest with your stylist about your hairstyle. If you want something different, don't hesitate to tell her/him. They want your recommendation and satisfaction; they want you to leave happy and spread the word. Make sure you are clear about what you want and what you don't want.
*Schedule your wedding day hair appointment 2-3 hours before your first formal photograph. The earlier the better. Some up-do's take more than an hour from start to finish.
*Try a wedding day style that is a fancier version of how you wear your hair on an everyday basis. You want to feel comfortable about yourself on your wedding day!
*If you opt for an up-do, add a bit of pouf to the front or side - slicked back hair can be unflattering in photos.
*Down-do's with curls or waves don't last very long in Georgia humidity, so have a back-up plan. Maybe down for a set photos and then up for the
